Question
How stiff are the "stiff" Taylor Made Burner 09 irons?
I am thinking about getting a set of the new TM Burners. Up until this point i have used some pretty terrible no name brand clubs and i do not know if i should get the shafts in stiff or regular flex. My drives generally, when not slicing far to the right, go 220yrds approximately. My irons tend to pop up quite high and my average 6 or 7 iron would get me about 150yrds. The clubs i have currently are probably regular flex, but again as they are of such poor quality i do not even know. Any advice would be helpful.

sounds to me like you need a flexible club. If your drives are only 220 you may not have a lot of power so a more flexible shaft would be better, you may also consider a graphite shaft those help with flex for more power.

I have a set of the 09 burners in s flex steel the 85 gram shaft.
They are a mid to low kick shafts that are made to get the ball up in the air.
I would say they are not the firmest s flex I have played but they do match the low center of gravity heads very well. So if you hit the ball high to begin with I think i would look at the s flex not the r flex.
In graphite they are lightweight shafts as well 65 grams they are also a mid to low kick shaft that I think s flex would also work for you in the graphite.
They are great irons that have different lengths then a traditonal set , slightly longer in the long irons more traditional lengthsin the short irons,
The combination of extra length, lightweight shafts and a thin club face give them exceptional ball speed and distance.
