Questions & Answers for UST Proforce V2 HL Wood Shaft

Question
Need recommendation for selecting shaft for driver
I want to purchase either the V2 Proform 65 regular flex shaft or the HL V2 shaft in regular flex but am confused after reading the reviews that caution about the stiffness as compared to other Regular flex shafts.
My swing speed is only 86 MPH, ball flight tends to be mid to low flight using a 10.5 Burner. Ball flight is straight to slight draw. Distance is 210 - 215 yds on average drive. (Bomb 230 yds). I like the lower torque rating on the V2 65 but am concerned that the shaft would be too stiff and the flight too low. I hit a Buddy's older V2 65 (6 yrs old) , reg flex, 3.0 torque, butt stiff 252, mid stiff 63, tip stiff 26 very successfully except ball flight was a little low, but penetrating....Can you recommend the best shaft for me ??? Professional opinions very much appreciated

From the information you have provided it sounds like the V2 High Launch should be the shaft for you.

If the Totleist you are putting the shaft into was manufactured after 1996 it will fit. Some tip trimming might be required.

The R7 Limited driver comes with a .350 hosel and the V HL is a .335. You can use brass shaft shims sku# 9588 and this shaft would work with the R7 head.
